FWIW I dealt with Joe on a very expensive piece recently. It could not have been easier and I would not hesitate to recommend him, buying or selling. Frankly, being banned from here is rather an easy feat to achieve...

Its all rather complicated and not making much sense at the moment, generally once you have sold something to someone, its theirs to do with as they please.

Still not exactly sure what the issue is here as I am assuming those he is buying work from are happy for him to do so and once they are his he can do what he likes with them.

I advertise a nick walker for 2000 pounds. You agree a deal and send your money.
I go to someone to buy the NW who may have agreed or not to sell me the piece however as there was no cash exchange they are under no obligation to sell. They have changed their mind or their price.
I now need to return your money or source from elsewhere. This causes a delay and aggravation to you as I have your 2k but you have no piece.
You want your money back I want to gain time by delaying you while I try to source from elsewhere.
There has been a recent tyihread on someone doing this and it was all very dodgy they were also advertising stuff they did not have on eBay etc.
Now the bit on getting commissions from dealers does not matter at all as he says John I can get you 2000 for yuor NW from jh gallery I say great. He then gets 5 percent from the gallery in my book nothing wrong with this.
