Still not finished. Renovation is ongoing. As soon as everything is finished and all the Art proper hanged I will upload a couple pictures.

Great blank canvas. Stairwells/stairs are tricky. I’ve got a double height one from new loft conversion and tricky planning and logistically hanging!!

So what IRL didn’t tell you is that ‘Ruskr’ is one of his alter egos and the pics he posted are from one of his many many ‘country houses ’ ... don’t be fooled lol...

You can always move down like I did, and you get a lot more wall space for your buck 

Managed to get a few pieces hung in the new house. Will post a much more detailed tour once I get it sorted.

thank you! We went from a 1300 to 4800 SF house so it’s going to be a long time before we have it fully furnished and property decked out. So many to do’s on the list it’s going to be a multi year project. I’m more of a quality over quality so I’d rather buy 1 really well made piece of furniture than 4 that won’t last. But it’s all good, I enjoy the hell out of it. I feel extremely blessed. 

I’m seriously open to any suggestions on where and how to hang the art. I’m in somewhat uncharted territory here. 

I’ll post a few more rooms once they’re sorted.

Thanks for the suggestions. I originally aligned the two works on paper with the moulding and seemed way too high up so I opted for centering them between the moulding on top and bottom. I just seemed weird to have them so far above eye level. High ceilings present something of a challenge. Looking back at them, the still life next to the front door should probably be raised to that it's at least centered between the top of the door and the moulding below. 

As for the welcome mat, I also originally hung it centered between the moulding, stood back from it and it felt too high. Sort of a battle between top of moulding and being too far above eye level. 

Easy enough to rehang a few inches up or down though, maybe I'll adjust and post some additional pics. Regardless, I appreciate the suggestions and am curious what others with high ceilings do. 

First off, amazing art on your walls. I can only imagine what's lurking some of those other rooms. That Parra canvas is a dream. Gorgeous. Who's the artist of those matching canvases in the photo above the Parra? 

I see that you're also dealing with high ceilings and crown/beaded molding throughout the house, as well as chair and picture rails. The picture rails are a nice feature and can help provide alignment guardrails. I think my biggest takeaway from your post is the idea of a "nice same width border round the bottom if it's a big piece" as this makes a lot of sense.  

Oddly, I probably would have lowered the Parra canvas ~4" - it seems slightly high to me, but you obviously know what you're doing. 

I'll make a few adjustments this weekend and post updated pics. Worst case scenario I don't like how it looks and I revert back to how they are now.
