The thousands is a good guide thethousands.com.au/melbourne/ & for beer my favourite place is Cookie (for a Leffe ) on Swanston Street. I prefer the bars in Melbourne to Sydney. If your there on the weekend pop into www.section8.com.au/ great vibe, music...
Also... Been posted on another thread, but definately worth getting cheap flight up here to Sydney for the Cockatoo Art exhibition (it runs for a month) by these guys outpost.cockatooisland.gov.au/ I will be going there next weekend, cracking line up and looking forward to seeing originals by Banksy, Os Gemeos & Faile. I have heard they are selling a few prints also, not sure if it's by Aussie artists only, be good if there's a few Listers up for grabs... enjoy your trip fella...
Ps. Oh I just remembered the Croft Institute bar also thecroftinstitute.net/ took us ages to find it as its located in one of the tiny lanes... but we were pretty wasted also!!
