I did know of a place that had a few of Dran prints, however the gallery was very concerned about them falling into the hands of flippers so I believe they would just shut up shop and deny they had any if the link was put on a forum and they suddenly had a rush of orders

They also have close connections with the artist and that they may still have some Dran prints that are now several years after the release, shows they are not particularly bothered about shifting them quickly. So draw your own conclusions from that, mine is as in my previous posts

They do have very close links with the artist and it was on his orders that they vet potential customers to ensure that the prints and pieces were not sold for financial gain and for true fans. First time I have ever come across a gallery behaving like that. Must be the same place? After passing my exam they were very helpful though I will say that......

I'm not interested ever in flipping, I buy for my collection/walls and I buy what I like....However, no matter what vetting process a gallery used there is no way they could police or enforce you selling on what they have sold you. Google would very likely get you through a vetting process as well. You could potentially forego any relationship with them moving forward, but they'd have to see you sale the item publicly (eBay or forum for example) to even know you had!
I see nothing wrong with their intentions at all, but in the real world is it enforcable?!

That was me then ;-) And the price was EUR 170 indeed. This gallery has now shut down though so not really worth playing trying to guess which one it was, won't help any longer...

Clever guy like me and another French mate here had the similar idea after the POW Dec. hype. Since Dran is from Toulouse, we looked for galleries in Toulouse to track old cheaper Dran... Easy job since there was only one major contemporary gallery...
