Best flippin excuses?, by Frndly Fire on Nov 24, 2011 3:02:20 GMT 1, I just read the sorry tail of the bloke who has to sell his Dran to pay for damage inflicted to his car by a Badger, and it made me wonder what other great excuses for a quick sale there are out there.
Obviously "my mrs doesnt like it" and "got a tax bill to pay" just don't cut it anymore - so has anyone heard any other belters, or even got an original one lined up should the need for a quick buck arise?
Anything including badgers, beevers or waterbuffel score extra.

stage two - justification for purchasing every release
stage three - regret at purchasing every release
stage four - starting to realise the art you actually like
stage five - selling all your purchases
stage six - buying what you actually like

Best flippin excuses?, by johnnyh on Nov 24, 2011 7:12:15 GMT 1, Think you should end this thread as really it will provide my wife with a number of lame reasons why I should sell things
Car needs repairing Bought too many of them Bigger than I thought - not sure when 70 cm is bigger than you thought. Always surprising that one as most of us believe 8 inches is twelve and very rarely underestimate size. Colour did not suit the room even though arrived same colour as you bought it. Anyway re paint the room probably needs it. Just happened to end up with two in the trolley did not realize
Would sell at what I bought it for but you would not appreciate it as much as when I make you pay triple the cost. The fact that you can no longer afford to frame it means that this iconic image will be worth more to you lying in a folder.

Best flippin excuses?, by Blakeies on Nov 24, 2011 10:19:28 GMT 1, How about this for a possible one...
As Christmas is approaching I am selling this piece as I am looking to fund an orphanage/soup kitchen etc... Whilst I would normally be willing to let this go for cost I would like to get as much money for it as possible as it's for a worthwhile cause etc etc???

'Relisting due to buyer having lost job, 8 children, mother-in-law needing new hip and dog giving birth but still able to buy other 360 items and games so please do not bid if your job is at risk, you have to sell kids to medical research, your mum needs treatment or your dog is having kittens!!!!!!!! Best flippin excuses?, by iamzero on Nov 27, 2011 21:19:20 GMT 1, Out of interest what is considered a flip and what is considered otherwise? For instance, I'd like to buy a Charming Baker 1st Saturday Dog print which was £75 on release. Now if I'm offered one of these by a forum member for say... £300 pound, is this a flip?
