Good wishes to Curiousgeorge, by Hubble Bubble on Dec 2, 2011 22:22:32 GMT 1, I saw a post from CG that mentioned 'intensive care' and, at this time of print insanity, I couldn't help think that art - for most of us - is something less important than life and death.
CG, I hope you are well, that the prognosis for the future is good and that you and your family have an exceptionally happy Christmas.

Good wishes to Curiousgeorge, by curiousgeorge on Dec 2, 2011 22:52:12 GMT 1, Slowly starting to go a bit insane tbh 15 days in intensive care and still no end in sight
I should have been home by now but due to incorrect practices with administering meds to keep infection at bay so they can operate again they actually infected me again so had to start over with iv meds,Really couldn't make it up
As miserable as I am, I'm ever mindful of the small stuff I have going on compared to what I have seen over the last couple of weeks.Real horrific shit and if I didn't have dependants I would have discharged myself long ago
Cardiac intensive care is a very grim place but full of angels that smile and deal with the most unthinkable things day in day out.Very very humbling
Did I miss a release or something

Good wishes to Curiousgeorge, by curiousgeorge on Dec 3, 2011 0:19:39 GMT 1, This is where I'm at right now
They removed the infected device on the right from my chest which leads directly to the heart (very dodgy) and will be placing the device on the left inside me once infection has cleared.I was clear a week ago but they infected me when giving me meds to clear the infection! real comedy of errors!

Good wishes to Curiousgeorge, by curiousgeorge on Dec 3, 2011 0:25:42 GMT 1, This smarts a bit as it took around 5 hours to remove the device and the leads that were stuck in some vital veins
Besides the health this surgery has been a genuine life changing experience (and that's saying some considering it's my 4th or 5th time under the knife

Gary... Sort CG out with some discount framing on those.
No prices that will give him a heart attack please.
Joke.
Get well CG.

Good wishes to Curiousgeorge, by curiousgeorge on Dec 3, 2011 0:39:53 GMT 1, Those are just demo versions for patients to look at, hence the 'demo' written on them
Sadly? I'm not allowed the one that was inside as they give them a scrub with jif and re-use them send them back to the maker who can look at them and how to improve them.Would love? to have one in perspex, clever little box saved my life on plenty of occasions
It was put to me most people change a kettle once a year due to limescale, now imagine6 9 years of limescale deposits..
Can't wait to get home and do something fitting just for the special members of staff here who have well and truly sat me on my ass with compassion and patience
