A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by iamzero on Dec 3, 2011 19:59:01 GMT 1, I realise this may have been covered before but who are the most used suppliers by people on here? I have prints flattening out in the loft room that are getting out of control so they need to find a folder home before deciding what is to be framed.
Any help would help. I know my recent Invader Scream is gonna look lost in an A1.

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by johnnyh on Dec 4, 2011 11:34:42 GMT 1, London graphic is where I picked some up but to be honest they are basically all the same. Few quality differences but there is not much diff in your basic folder and if just used for storage which mine are there is no point buying some mega thing.
Get your self nice piece of card to separate and give fome firmness/support to each page and way you go.

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by johnnyh on Dec 4, 2011 12:05:08 GMT 1, Ido in one of mine where keep Banksy's and the like that aren't framed. But they are not needed to be honest in my opinion. A long as the port folio kept cool and dry etc they will be fine.

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by iamzero on Dec 9, 2011 22:01:57 GMT 1, Ok... I have my portfolio and clear archival sleeves sio I now have another question. When storing the prints and sliding them into the sleeve, am I best to place acid free tissue on the face of the print to avoid any possible scratches meaning I can't view the print properly or am I being over sensitive?

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by johnnyh on Dec 9, 2011 23:07:11 GMT 1, Don't be daft. Just slide them in. I use card separators also means when you turn page no creases. But have them so you can see them otherwise no point having them

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by johnnyh on Dec 10, 2011 4:44:46 GMT 1, Ha lol walls are already full and do not want them packed also in rented property in hong kong and they just about arrest you for too many holes in the walls. So have to have some in the portfolio. That's the point of being able to see them. You can still enjoy. Really love these but do not want only Banksy on the walls.
Cheers though

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by seasideindian on Dec 10, 2011 11:46:12 GMT 1, Some cracking info, thank you Comrades. I'm under strict orders to get my work portfolio'd and this thread has really helped me out. I do have a question if you can help, I'm looking to frame my Stik Lovers piece and my table isn't long enough to un-roll it. Can the print be rolled out on the floor ? Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated

A1 portfolio with archival sleeves..., by johnnyh on Dec 10, 2011 14:06:02 GMT 1, Yes no worries Just make sure floor is flat - sounds stupid but be careful of tiles etc any thing that would indent the piece (not sure if that words correct but you know what I mean).
Or put some thing flat down. As I assume you want to roll it out and weight it. As long as flat and clean no probs at all. I always place the tissue paper their rolled up in over the top you can also place card over just to protect the. Print Take care but they are pretty hardy
