Choe help on hand finished prints, by portfolio on Dec 8, 2011 15:09:48 GMT 1, Can anyone give any advice on how the hand painted Choe prints are doing nowadays?
Particularly Sound Eyes and Hell Houndz.
I have one of each i'd let go for a fair price, but interested in any comments on either (like, don't like, recent prices, choe comments in general), so vent your spleens.
Thanks.

Choe help on hand finished prints, by maadbeats on Dec 8, 2011 15:21:26 GMT 1, sound eyes always lost money. every color way. They just weren't appealing. didnt theyrelease around $400-500?? I think people ended up selling these for half
Sound hounds(looks 100x more appealing) do better but If I remember correctly not much hand finishing. All the colors were printed

i know what you mean mate. i think choe went off the idea of really going to town on the hand finishing after city girl. no doubt him and his bro liked making 100% of the money on print releases though.....

Choe help on hand finished prints, by thesewalls on Dec 9, 2011 3:01:31 GMT 1, Hello Portfolio. These have both been offered up on here recently...
The Sound Eyes was for $200 at the end of a 'for sale' list and I don't think it sold but ?
The Hell Hounds was for $350 in a big 'for sale' list, which also included the City Girl 76 that has recently been discussed as going for $750 in an instant (which it did, although it lacked any major hand finishing). Don't think the Hell Hounds has sold yet but ?
I'd say both prices are about right for your prints ($200 & $350 respectively), even though they're worth more in my opinion.
Oh yeah, no hand work on these two.
I love Choe! Hope they will go on some walls soon...good luck with your sales...

Thanks fella.
Honestly at those prices, i might just as well leave them in the folder. I love Choe too, have at least 4 other pieces of his that have made the walls and the detail and mind bending imagination just makes them brilliant to keep looking at.
