A Few Congo Photos for those interested, by Hubble Bubble on Dec 20, 2011 11:39:50 GMT 1, thanks for sharing... really love some of these. Especially that last pic. The definition and clarity of the primate's physiology is astounding.

A Few Congo Photos for those interested, by Deleted on Dec 20, 2011 11:48:15 GMT 1, Blue Xmas balls
Here in Kenya, people love Vervet monkeys... They are nice; until they climb on top of tree and pee on you
The ones in Lake Nakuru's gate are clever thieves: one monkey is attracting all the tourists out who take photos while others go in the buses to steal lunch boxes and biscuits They got me twice but I learned their tricks now
Baboons are found along the road and near by lodges (bins) or campsites... People here hate baboons, they are dirty and can be very aggressive. When tourists are away from lodges, Maasai go and chase baboons (or even kill them). If you camp, don't be scared, just don't leave food in the tent or eat in the tent
A depressed baboon (taken before he started masturbating)
One day, a big male jumped on our picnic table (my wife ran away) and he stole a baguette (he missed the sausages)... I threw stones and made lot of noise. Another day, I had one at the back of car, trying to steal food.
Sykes monkey can be naughty too, especially the males which may be aggressive. One almost bites my wife while he was trying to steal bananas in the garage. My wife tried to chase him away but he refused to leave. Then, someone told us in local language, if "you see a monkey in your house, then something good will happen to your family".. well, two days after, my wife delivered
Most beautiful ones are Colobus monkey. They are black and white. They don't have thumb; thus they are very poor climber and very lazy... their diet doesn't help neither (they only eat strong leaves).
