Bought a print from auction and it came framed. They told me all materials used were acid free. The backing is clearly not as it's a plywood type material.

The bevel on the matting is almost a yellow color... Not sure if this is standard with UK mats or not?

I know if I saw this mat and knew it was from the US it would not be acid free. Most of our acid free mats either have a solid core or are white....

Should I just re-mat to be safe?
