dolk, by Studiocromie on Nov 28, 2011 10:19:08 GMT 1, hello there everybody.
just a quick question, whats up with dolk?!? didnt manage to ask him directly as we're both slow with emails and thought to ask here, also to point out how stupid this world an market can be
in the past three weeks I've sold out his stencil edition "te ape" wich Ive had for sale for three years now and nobody could care
is he going to have some major show in London or what?
I find this very funny, especially considering the weird emails and comments I've got via email about this print, just and only three years after we released it
thanks! a

dolk, by kunstrasen on Nov 28, 2011 10:42:27 GMT 1, Well they were about the same price most of his prints go for these days and considering that one could get an original spray with on edition of 25 compared to a print with an edition of 250 just puts a good value on 'The Ape' and the likeability of the image is always down to ones personal taste.
I think the reason why the print prices have gone up that much is mainly down to Dolks growing popularity in Norway.
Edit: Oh well, pretty much the same posted in the other thread...

Even the most innocuous local artists charge similar rates for prints.
I think smaller national markets will continue to develop as people want a piece of their own local or national history rather than a work from an artist living and working in..Baltimore, for example.

dolk, by swamped on Nov 29, 2011 3:20:58 GMT 1, Dolk has been in huge demand for the past 6-8 months no doubt! Had to let a few dolk prints go in that time frame just couldn't pass up the money with 3 kids here, I am still getting request for those old long ago ended prints to this day, at least 3 or so a week! Sellers remorse though wish I still had them, should have said screw the bill collectors!
