Price impact of small creases, by baronschwarz on Jul 8, 2007 11:40:40 GMT 1, So I've been thinking hard about this and, reluctantly, circumstances are pushing me hard towards selling one of my prints. I have an unsigned Happy Choppers with a couple of tiny creases in the paper - creases it had when I originally bought it and were almost certainly done during the printing process. When I bought it I thought they added to the print's character, but now I'm wondering if this kind of thing can devalue a print. If so I may have to sell my Vic instead, but since the Choppers is rarer & I'm skint I'm thinking Choppers
Any thoughts (apart from insults!) ?

In 20 years tiny creases won't be a huge problem but right now they'll knock around 20-30% of the price off, I would imagine, depending on how serious they are. Keep the choppers on the wall and enjoy it and hand it down to the nicest grand kid is my vote, he/she won't mind a few creases, no doubt they'll be very, very pleased. The other gandchildren can just wished they were a bit damn nicer to an old man.

Price impact of small creases, by discoduster on Jul 8, 2007 12:10:26 GMT 1, How much do you want for the chopper print (if you don't mind me asking)
Are you looking to sell it on here to someone or ebay??
PM me if you'd rather.

Price impact of small creases, by corblimeylimey on Jul 8, 2007 14:16:17 GMT 1, Take some photos and post them up here for evaluation, you never know, someone here after seeing them may still give you the price you'd expect on ebay minus the fees.

Price impact of small creases, by verbalkint on Jul 8, 2007 23:27:44 GMT 1, YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE A BIT ANAL TO GIVE TWO FUCKS ABOUT A CREASE LIKE THAT IN MY OPINION, BUT I SUPPOSE IF YOU ARE SHELLING OUT 5 GRAND YOU WANT IT PERFECT.
PERSONALLY IF ITS ON THE IMAGE AND VERY NOTICABLE I MIGHT THINK TWICE, BUT IN THE CORNER, I WOULDNT CARE ONE JOT
