Original Hirst For Sale, by gilsteph on Jan 8, 2012 19:36:05 GMT 1, Hi, with all the current interest in Damien Hirst, I am considering selling my little OG.
Its an original Damien Hirst "spin" painting from The War Child box set and is 15cm x 9.5cm.
There were 250 made to go into a Brian Eno spray painted box, with David Bowie wallpaper, a one off Anton Corbijn polaroid, CD and obviously the Hirst.
Im selling the whole box set.
My box set has a certificate and is number 99...although the painting is number 53! It was released in 1995 and I have had it from new.
To be honest I have no idea of value. I would be very interested in peoples opinions re value as well. I have never seen a box set go on sale.....but maybe I have never looked at the right place!!!
Let me know if anyone wants pics of the box set or any other details!

It was real, she sent me pics of receipt from Art Brussels and the verso. She had it for sale for awhile but put insanely low opening bid and kept cancelling sales when it didn't meet what she wanted. It was out of my meager price range.
I think she sold it in past few days.

Thanks! Thats what I thought it was valued for but if it didnt sell maybe I will be keeping it after all :-)

Nobody wants to buy unsold OG, it's spooky. Auction houses try as well to hide their failure.

I have seen a few that were from the box set but never anything that was the whole set! I think most of these were split up when they were bought years ago.
