Obey print framing..., by connecta1 on Oct 12, 2011 20:56:13 GMT 1, ...ok, so in the light of the popularity of Gary's framing deal on the Geddes, I had a brainwave and suggested to him that there was a potential gap in the market UK/Europe-side for affordable framing options for Shep Fairey prints.
I have quite a few of these now, getting them all done 'properly' is unrealistic, and seems daft as they are a standard size, 18 x 24". I was thinking chunky black box frame & UV glass with a black fillet to lift the glass off the print. Fits the print with a couple of mm to spare with no need for a mount and maybe a catch on the back-board so you can swap prints in and out easily.
Anyhoo, he's suggested he can do these with the standard 40x40mm box frame and UV glass for ยฃ60, less with standard glass, and can do the full UV-option for ยฃ50 for orders of 10 or more... with Gary's blessing I'm throwing this open to the forum. Is this of interest to anyone?

Obey print framing..., by Karl Read on Oct 12, 2011 22:13:31 GMT 1, I got these done by MFM a couple of weeks ago, turned out great. I got a load more i could do with getting done too. They are hard to photograph because of the light. The print sits right back from the glass, looks really smart.

Connecta has very generously offered to start a list, I can only guess but I presume the offer is shut once at least 10 pieces are committed.

At these prices it would be supplying the frame for you guys to fit the print yourselves.
Would be a very simple process though.

Incidentally, this first order is based on me and one other buyer ordering 4 frames each, so actually only 4 buyers in total. Thought there'd be a lot more interest in this to be honest... especially with the scrum on here every time there's a release!
