Is Banksy in New York City?!!!?!, by Wearology on Jan 20, 2012 5:00:50 GMT 1, Calidave - I may be the only person in the world that thought it was real. Maybe hunter007 was right and I have no idea what is on my walls. The only way I will be vindicated is if Mr. B posts it on his site in the outdoor section but I am not holding my breath until that happens. Whoever the artist turns out to be IMO they are talented and I hope they keep on tagging up NYC.

Really? I think its pretty amateur. Surprised anyone that knows Banksys work well thought it was him. imo clearly just someone putting his strange twist on a old and iconic Banksy image.

I thought I was only referred to as a stupid American who knows nothing about art on .info only - I guess those on this blog know me well too. It is amazing the tentacles of hate on our forum have the ability to spread throughout the internet so easily. I also don't appreciate them using my photo without my permission.

Banksy's work stands out a mile to me, despite all the imitators. The only one of recent years that I wasn't 100% on was the recent falling girl with a shopping trolley. I know it's easy for me to say afterwards but this was never a Banksy in a million years. Why would he do a worse version of an old classic?
