Just my opinion but $2k is primary cost not including freight and duty if applicable and even though there were (IMO) too many shows last year they all sold out. So I would doubt even the weakest image could be picked up at $2k.
Again just my opinion but the range is more like $3k-$4.5k secondary. That said you might get someone with a piece they bought a few years back looking a quick sale. Good luck in your search and worth every penny.

You won't find any at that price mate. You gotta to be on a waiting list before they go live online anywhere to be in with a chance to get one. Then it's secondary market prices, which are obviously a lot different. (depending on image.)
I can't remember the last ones released. Can't remember the shows but was either the last one in the U.S or the V1 show in denmark but I think that may of been short on those. I'm sure someone else will remember.
I'd like one too, just holding out for the right image from primary source.

Yeah and getting in on any preview takes a good relationship with the gallery where Shep sells his HPMs. First crack always goes to friends and family, then regular longtime customers, then gallery longtime customers, After that newer folks on the preview list get a crack at it. There is usually very little choice pieces left by the time a show open if anything at all.
So mostly you are looking at secondary market prices unless you get lucky.

Source keeps going up over time, and with preview lists etc. Paying a 1000-1500 usd premium for the image you want without tax and the hassle is probably worth it.
