WTB 8" SKATE DECK AND WHEELS, by ABC on Jan 24, 2012 22:45:12 GMT 1,
I'm after a half decent 8" deck, plus any half decent wheels and bearings that anyone has knocking around, pref between 52-55cm.
Taken up skating again, even at 38, I can't watch my kids tear the park up without joining in can I? Plus I need to keep on my 4 year old who can already drop in a vert half pipe on his mini madd gear scooter, bloody nutter.
I used to skate for years, that was about 20 years ago now though, so I've a lot to learn.
I know I could use the bay but just though someone may have some knocking around. Can pay via paypal. I've already gone through the two DFace decks I had on top of the wardrobe.

I'm not looking for anything special, certainly wouldn't skate a choe deck, around the £20 mark. I'm sure there are loads of members with decks knocking around. Thanks for the offer though.

I went to the skate shop, kitted myself out, and with a feeling of being in my early twenties in my head I felt the adrenaline pumping as I neared the local skate park late at night.(they don't know how lucky they are having ready made skate ramps)
I thought having a practice while no-one was around would save any embarrassment while I found my feet.
It was quite embarrassing while talking to the paramedics and Hospital staff for the rest of the evening.
Good luck, I found the 'bouncing and getting back up' bit of my life must of past.

Never ride the bugger though to be fair.
Do fancy the Old long board cruising though always tempted when in the states to pick up one. None of that falling off stuff much more in keeping with my age and stature!!!!

Miraculously I have not yet killed myself. I still have the balance, that comes with 10 years plus of skating when I was younger. However towards the end of my skating days I was safely making handrails down a set of 10 steps (something that in 87/88 was relatively new) not now though, I certainly don't have the same desire to face plant and impress.
They have a veterans night at our skate park and all the old crusties come out to play. Mid life crisis I know, but it keeps the heart going.
