I offered to pick up and pay cash to save him from fees but still nothing.
im not paying by paypal as, 1, i dont use them for anything, and 2 he could draw the money and vanish.
his ebay account has not been used since 09 .
did i have a lucky escape.? your thoughts please and has anyone dealt with him or know him

He's an old forum member on here and especially the Dface forum.
He has had a few Banksy's up for sale and I was talking with him re his VLH.
Hopefully he will get in touch with you soon.

This guy isn't that far from me (neighbouring town), if he does get in touch and you want some validation that he does actually have the piece before you make the journey down then let me know.

Hope it all comes together for you. I really fancied this to go along side my black and white one!

Personally I'm with OP, wouldn't rely on Paypal to reimburse me if I got stiffed by a seller I don't know and have never met. Certainly not for that sort of money!

If worst comes to the worst and he does not reply and does not sell he will be about £200 worse off due to eBay fees!

He must have gotten busy or something as communication was always quick and he sent me the print almost immediately upon payment. Nice fellow. I wouldn't be worried one bit.

Don't get me wrong, not endorsing PayPal in any way, shape or form and prefer to avoid them as well. But from bad experience as soon as a buyer puts in any sort of claim they'll whip the money back off the seller and from that point on the emphasis lies with the seller as to why they should have it back!
Sounds like particular issue will be resolved anyway, and very likely innocent reason as to why comma is slow. All the best to all parties involved to resolve.
