Polaroid!, by chaturz on Feb 2, 2012 20:08:44 GMT 1, So as an impulse purchase I bought an old polaroid on the cheap from ebay and some film. Took some pictures, then realised each pictures costs a fair whack so starting thinking about what to take pics of. Just wondering if anyone else has taken to polaroids recently or has any pics to share. PS sorry if this thread is in the wrong place

Polaroid!, by mayhem on Feb 2, 2012 20:19:32 GMT 1, There is a photography thread in the home menu, Mods may move it over, we'll see. I still use fuji instant on the back of a 4x5 large format to check my light settings. They look great too and have worked out a way to make a negative from the positive Polaroid when they come good. The beauty of expensive photography is more thought goes into it. It slows you down so you can capture the moment perfectly(hopefully). Its very easy to fire away with digital and not see whats really in front of you. Polaroids are great,Enjoy!
Edit: Sorry I have none to share with you, just looked and they are in my locker at college, will look for a few to post tomorrow.

If you go through it, look for hasselblad cameras.

Polaroid!, by mayhem on Feb 2, 2012 21:16:26 GMT 1, Most 1970's 35mm slr cameras,Pentax Spotomatic's, Practica MTL, Nikon F, Carl Zeiss lenses, old camera bags, filters (mould/fungus free) etc and have an increasing market. Send me some pics fingerz if you are stuck on any for info and I am sure I can help. Would be keen on any medium format camera's if you have any. (Bronica would be of interest)
Edit: 60's you say...More interesting

Polaroid!, by sanchorockin78 on Feb 15, 2012 17:10:40 GMT 1, Check out Lomography too - they do an instaback for that dreamy 70's feel. Mayhem - spot on!. I shoot as much on an old FM2T film camera as I do in digital. You learn the craft and choose your shot with care on film, framing and focusing rather than pointing and shooting ( just as much fun tho . A good way for any aspiring photographers to learn as you pay for your mistakes . Hope you find some treasures Fingerz!.

Polaroid!, by sanchorockin78 on Feb 17, 2012 13:06:51 GMT 1, Hi Fingerz,
Not sure on the value (although, if that top snap is a super 8 cam, its in great condition). Brownie's are readily available on ebay etc, but unsure of the other stuff. I have a number of second hand camera shop links that may be interested but doubt it. Let me know if you want some links and I can pm them over.
