help needed please., by organics1 on Aug 7, 2007 18:31:59 GMT 1, The only thing I can think of is that their account has been suspended. Why not set up a Google checkout account. It will only take a few days to sort out and it's free until 2008. I can't think of any other service that will give you protection.

If you phone your bank, tell them you need to pay somebody X amount am i covered if they dont send etc etc, they should tell you, then you can transfer direct online

help needed please., by Run Pig Run on Aug 7, 2007 19:17:36 GMT 1, the missis is 9 nine months preg and the seller lives hundreds of miles away so i can't go too far. The problem i'm thinking is that if I pay any other way that isn't linked to ebay throughout the checkout system then it's gonna be my word against theres if they decide to pocket the cash.
thanks for your help though, i'll see if the seller sorts it out their end and keep you posted.

help needed please., by Run Pig Run on Aug 8, 2007 17:51:25 GMT 1, this was sorted out by not going through ebays checkout but by logging in to paypal.co.ck and using the 'send money' and entering the ebay listing number. fuck knows why it didn't work through ebay checkout though.

help needed please., by adrscib on Aug 8, 2007 20:37:20 GMT 1, Certain countrys do not have the receive funds options. As a case in poiint is my paypal account which is verified but I cannot receive funds as paypal are still working on that feature on certain countries. However if you communicate, get a full address, phone number, and have a chat and confirm some things you should not be worried, e.g. send me a pic of urself with a glass of beer and holding the print.... sounds stupid but confirms that its no scam.
or else if its an expensive print you can still ask the seller to come himself to deliver, after all he wants your cash, and with cheap flights today it is easy to travel quickly and inexpensively. It will still be worth for the seller.
