I understand what you're saying LBW but for me it's more than that and just like any collector I am a bit anal about things. I am a huge record collector too and not only do I want the released copy but I have to have the promo copy, any different mixes and the accetate if I can get it. I could just settle for a free download off the internet and have the track I want. But for me I think you lose all respect for the artist when you do that. For me having the signature gets me that bit closer to the artist than I would ever have the opportunity of doing as I could NEVER afford an original done by his hand. I don't want just any old piece I have to love it too. Hope that makes sense.

yeah perfectly - you have OCD . i wasn't getting at you per se, it seems to be more and more common for threads being started for a generic signed banksy/micallef/neate etc. mostly by people with a thumbful of posts.
it's each to his own, i would just be much more inclined to sell or trade with someone who i thought wanted my print and nothing else, it would ease the pain of letting it go - knowing it had found a good home and was likely to remain there for a long time.
