provenance was a problem though on these ones

The thread is a bit confused the problem with provenance was with the earlier canvas.. beer drinker. I think these were legit, looks like adams work from that period to me.

Yeah 2 sets of 2 canvases have been up, causing some confusion!

He asked me for 8k, didnt have any provenance, they could have been collected central london.

I quite liked them - better than alot of street works, not as good as his prints or originals at the Elms show, but still an original.

I was considering it, couldnt really afford them, but the no provenance was a deciding factor in not buying. and i dont really think it is comparable to the micallef original - The Mic wasnt instantly recognisable as a Mic IMO, it could have been done by any arty student, but these Canvas' were obviously works by Neate and were immediately recognisable as his work, providing their original of course!

I like them, alot of his stuff from 2003 was like this, but he has moved on from it. I still think that they could fetch a nice tidy sum in a few years when neate originals are £150k each from the shows. Most of the pieces at elms were £25,000 + gordon, some were £30,000 + dreaded, the masks were £15,000 + bullshit and the 4 horsemen was £65,000 + TVAT. When you consider that they sold quicker than condoms in a french brothel during happy hour and there was a whole host of people who would have happily paid that much for one but were turned away, you have to suspect that the next solo show (which i would imagine being in the first half of next year) the prices will have at least doubled. That makes any of his original work very expensive and very desirable. There is no one quite like Adam at the moment, to think i passed up on a gallery original for £10,000!! oh what a t**t i am!!

Nah for me it would have to be a 3D piece

I think the set of three would be a good buy at about 2.5k each.
The 10-15k estimate is rather high at the moment, but in the future that amount may end up being a snip

These are one hundred percent authentic, they were mine? One was the twin towers of London, the other, portrait, was meant to be a quick sale to a fellow who mailed me earlier that day. The paintings came from a show we had in our gallery, 88b gallery below Cide skate shop, I still know people who have pieces from this show and am trying to get a hold of them.
