I'd say you are wrong, big time.
The majority of the portraits were bought by those collectors who bought originals before the show had opened to the public, only a small number were bought by people in the queue.
Once the few galleries and other lucky few who bagged them on the opening night sell these on, they will be sooooooooo hard to get hold of. Do you really think that someone who splashed 30k+ on an original to add to their art collection bought a set of portrait prints to flog on? I don't.

Why is it that people talk bollox having heard whispers elsewhere.
It is a fact that no one got more than 1 print of ANY of the prints (unless they did something like queue with a friend.)
And I know that the vast majority - 30 or so were sold to people who weren't in the queue. Say 5 people out of the other 20 decide to keep them, that leaves 15 to be sold on after which you can say goodbye to the thought of getting one.

Bold statement, I was near the front of the Queue and know a fair few who will sell them on, shame as I missed out and I certainly would not if I managed to get one or two. 19 were reserved so 31 were sold on the night, agree its a small amount but Ive heard around 9 pairs have already been sold and Im sure there will be more.

Regardless there is no need for me to get bitchy so I apologize but I would say that the 19 reserved figure is lower than what I heard from someone who bought an original, someone who isn't the type to make things up.
