Really nice, just can't justify that kind of money for something I can't really hang on the wall :\

STIK has no history of work on the street? Where have you been forever? Here's a link to just a snippet of what he got up to last year alone:

Stik figures, by Deleted on Jan 13, 2012 9:46:22 GMT 1, 'history' not work clearly meant to publicise gallery work, the priority from the get go has been one thing. Which is fine but it means close to nothing for me because of that.

Stik figures, by richskara on Jan 13, 2012 10:28:23 GMT 1, I love Stik's work and have done long before I even became interested in urban art. I used to love seeing them round shoreditch. For me I think he captures a lot of emotion in those very simple drawings.
That said I thought lovers was a poor print the closed eyes didn't work and it. Seemed to awkward. Also some of the recent commissions I've seen appear to simplistic and comic like and have lost some of that charm in my opinion.
Still love him though

I wouldn't want to part with that kind of money for one, or any money for his works which is why I always carry a piece of card and a marker around on the off-chance that you can get a freebie doodle...Stik did this for me at his recent show and I love it! if I tried to draw it myself, I would get something so simple so wrong! Always feels better when it's original and hasn't cost the earth...

Stik had been putting up his work for more than 10 years in London and Shoreditch before he did his first print and show so he does have the street cred and longivity! However I do agee the rise in price has been very steep lately.

My thoughts exactly. I really don't see the appeal. His street work makes me smile for like 5 minutes, but once you've seen one you've seen them all. Nothing new or inspiring in my eyes or demonstrating any kind of skill. Banksy's Morons comes to mind, but I suppose if you like his work then all's good. There, I said it.

JACE is amazing, but he rarely sells his paintings and does no prints to speak of sadly.

Stik figures, by shower on Jan 15, 2012 15:16:51 GMT 1, His work on the street over the last 2 years was nice, it was a bit different. But thanks to Graffik Gallery who have tried to milk him for all his worth, his work has become common, bland and is now priced a completely stupid levels just to fill the pockets of the gallery owners.
Its a shame that his work used to be different with some emotion, but now its just boring and contrived simply to meet the commissions demanded from Graffik.
I also heard that when Alec Monopoly had a show there he said that he didnt care for any of the work his was producing, and was simply bashing it out in the week before the show just for the sake of it before stupid prices were added. Like Graffik, he was commanded by making money, not making good art.
