which city girl? 76 or 150?

76 is a different image, hand finished, the first of a hand finishing project - choe's brother doing the printing etc - worth a lot more than the 150 straight forward print.

Check google images or espresso beans for images and info.

Yes i think i may have seen that one, ideally that is what i would like to spend although wasn't to sure about framing. I'm still not sure of the going rate apart from seeing that?

76 and 150 are around the same value. I have both so no biase other than the prices should be much higher than they are :-)

I have both. I can certainly not agree with r0b and would challenge where you get your information from? As lovely as City Girl 150 is, its a straightforward print, no different from any of the others in the same run. If anything, its aura was diminished a little by the standard of the similar sized prints that came after it, not so much 'Diamonds, Tits, Arse....' but the one of the girl falling which sat around for sale at cost for a while. That's my opinion anyway.

As for City Girl 76, while it is not such a detailed image by any stretch of the imagination, it is a hand finished 'original print'. I feel, depending on how early your copy is, might indicate the more effort put in to the hand finishing. Sadly though, not enough come up in image form to make a thorough comparison, but a few have. I have a low number edition and seem to have always had looks of admiration from other 76 owners.....that's the theory behind it anyway.

In my opinion, 76 will always be worth more financially, but ultimately, its down to how each individual feels about the image. My 150 is framed and hung, the 76 is not (at present).

I would guarantee Manty has more of an eye on the current market than i do, so may be correct on the pricing, but personally, i think the hand finished print is far more special and desirable.

Guys wonder if anyone can answer this one - the city girl ed 150 was released by Outer Edge studios for about $450. Andrew from outer edge has contacted me saying he has one in the gallery for $1500! I have replied saying if you were the people to release it why have you changed the price x3 and funny enough got no reply! Is this not wrong? It is not on their website and the other 3 Choe pieces on there are around $400 - $600.

If say POW released a print can they just triple the price if they fancy?

Bit of a piss take tho'. I'd be intrigued to know the forum's guesstimate of the value of the 150, I'd like one of these (and it's not $1500, is it?).

Ive had a few offers between £750- £1200 some framed and unframed that's all I'll say. I just find it weird how the other pieces the gallery show are the same as CG were originally.

My post was relative to the financial value comments made, but yes, 150 is nicer to look at if you want to view it from that shallow perspective. The individual finishing on 76 gives it more back story, some heart and soul that you don't get from a standard print, as such.

And $450 from source? £190 in UK, can't remember the exchange rate at the time.

So you would rather have an ugly looking print than a "nice" one hanging on your wall, if the back-story is better, or its hand-finished?
