Wanted KAWS Figures, by lobster on Feb 1, 2012 14:15:33 GMT 1, TOTALLY naive to this are so if anyone can point me in the right direction would be most grateful.
Looking for some KAWS figures in all sizes - ideally the plain "Grey" ones - are they called "mono" ?
If anyone has any info re the size and numbers of the editions or have some for sale that would be great.

They are almost impossible to avoid in the dissected companion. I have a mono and grey and both have minor leans. They are not noticeable once displayed. I also have not desire to sell.

OG colours are usually called "Brown or OG".
Grey is Mono (as in monotone).
Black is Black!

The smaller, cheaper things are nice too (like the Lazzarini's), but they're big editions and most were bought to flip! The big, older pieces are best!

The Companion is the iconic Kaws toy and has been redone over and over again in the forms of dissected and also be@rbricks. It was first released in 1999

I would be VERY careful when buying - there are so many bootlegs out there and even the boxes are so close to original that they can still fool most collectors.

Kaws doesn't release official edition sizes and they can range from 500-1000. I pulled this information from a thread on the kidrobot forum, they have a pretty good guide (that willynyc mentioned above)

personally, I think these are just some lost stock or second round pieces.. I mean, if the qc didnt notice pieces with 2 same hands go (there was dissected with 2 right hands on ebay some 2 years ago), these tiny differences shouldn't be too surprising..
