Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by neutral on Aug 25, 2007 16:04:44 GMT 1, I know I have stated that here :
Crikey ยฃ1850 at the moment with 4 days to go. There was one in the states for ยฃ1500 that was on there for a few days but that sold yesterday too. I have my reserve on that one. The bidder 6 has 0 feedback as well as less than a week old account with ebay. Smell dodgy to me. Yet the majority seems to think it is a genuine auction since the other one has been snapped in a panic for ยฃ1500 while lasting 6 days without any interest. A classic example of Ebay non sense to me. I could also be wrong of course...

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by steve on Aug 25, 2007 19:22:04 GMT 1, Shell Blood on Dinars at ยฃ1650 (inc postage and insurance) has had some firm interest today, but no firm committments as yet .....gentle bump that it's thus still currently available.
now get off that computer and get out there...it's a lovely night ;D

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by discoduster on Aug 26, 2007 8:33:06 GMT 1, If I had a spare ยฃ1650 I'd snap that badboy up. It's good price for that piece.
I can see this thread being looked back on in a couple years... "Remember when that 40 Dinars was available for just over a grand and a half!!" ala signed Banksys for ยฃ300 a couple years ago.

Agreed. Though I'm not sure whether we'll look back thinking "poor s*ds that wasted ยฃ1,650 on this print!!!" or "lucky b**tards - I should have snapped it up for ยฃ1,650 when I had the chance!".

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by pezlow on Aug 26, 2007 11:44:49 GMT 1, Snakes - as you know I don't have a problem with you flipping prints. Hell you can do what you want with them as far as I am concerned.
But for those who are wondering why beejoir left this forum I think the answer is glaringly obvious if you read the whole of this thread.

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by jam on Sept 7, 2007 23:09:39 GMT 1, There is another SBFO on Dinars up on ebay... there is also a nice LV Child signed! I am surprised at how few of each of these prints there have been on the resale market, although with the very low run numbers I guess it makes sense that there arent many that will ever be sold.

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by neutral on Sept 7, 2007 23:26:33 GMT 1, Galleries like FYC and Hipart have the 40 run, Gallery Nosco have a sprayed painted version of it. Artificial have a second run LV AP signed, (I do prefer the colour of the second run). His work is spreading rapidly.

I think the one with the starting price of 1500 won't sell; and the one on auction will end up going for over 1500 (good case study on the human psyche)

What - he didn't like it when people said his prints were pants? You need to take a little bit of flak if you put your work in the public domain.

Runningdog, lets get the record crystal clear on this one. Beejoir at no stage complained about people criticizing his work. His issue was with people who claimed to be desperate to buy his work for the love of it and at the first opportunity flogged it for a profit. That was the issue, so lets stick to the facts.

Iraq Dinars on ebay..., by buffin on Sept 12, 2007 8:00:01 GMT 1, Yes its funny how some people like a piece enough to buy it then quickly get it on ebay for a nice fat profit. Then they have the cheek to say the piece is pants. Unbelievable! No wonder artists are leaving this forum.

Fair enough. Did people actually approach him directly to get his stuff, then offload on Ebay? That would piss me off too. And though I'm not a fan, it sucks that artists are leaving the forum because they don't like the massive flipper element. Best of luck to him and that's a genuine sentiment.
