Faile 'Happens Everyday' Advice Please, by mace on Mar 13, 2012 5:58:28 GMT 1, Finally I got a 'Happens Everyday' offered - for £ 3.7K which seems to be more or less the going rate for these at the moment.
I'm not buying art for investment. However, as always when I spend that much money on a piece of art I am afraid that I will have a substantial loss in a couple of years time in case I want to/have to sell it again.
Do you think 3.7 is an appropriate price ? How do you think will the price develop ?
Please advice.

Faile 'Happens Everyday' Advice Please, by holden on Mar 13, 2012 6:27:51 GMT 1, congrats, one of their best and most desirable which therefore means it should hold its value. supply is only 36'ish (im pretty sure there were 2 over sold editions), with many in permanent homes now and demand seems to always be more than 36 with me as one of them
make sure you look at it a lot and $ per view it'll get cheaper and cheaper. its a print to be enjoyed

Faile 'Happens Everyday' Advice Please, by ambrosiabaptism on Mar 13, 2012 22:33:15 GMT 1, £3.7k Gulp! Not for an edition no matter how hot. Don't get me wrong I'm a Faile collector but I can't quite see that the Market has pushed the price of these so high?

Faile 'Happens Everyday' Advice Please, by mouser on Mar 13, 2012 22:47:41 GMT 1, £3.7k Gulp! Not for an edition no matter how hot. Don't get me wrong I'm a Faile collector but I can't quite see that the Market has pushed the price of these so high? I agree that 3.7 is high for a faile print, and have never understood the premium that this image has always carried, effectively since release its been one of the high dollar failes. Then again, the price is only what someone is willing to sell it and someone willing to buy it work out, we all know that advertised prices from galleries are seldom selling prices from galleries.

Utterly stunning print. But makes the stencil I have up for sale at 1.3k look very cheap

I bought that. A bit over the odds, but I've been hunting one for years now, and the colourway's lovely.
I think 3.7k is a great price, but I guess I would say that considering the above

Yeah absolutely lovely! A stunner from that edition. Congrats on the purchase. I still smile at mine every time I come through the front door.

Faile 'Happens Everyday' Advice Please, by madrat on Mar 14, 2012 22:35:12 GMT 1, I think the last one that appeared on Ebay was in July of last year. If memory serves me right it was a no reserve auction and it ended at £3,850.
Pricing on the one you are looking at therefore seems pretty reasonable....I suppose its just down to what you will be hit for on the tax and shipping.
It's a classic piece and I hope you work out a deal...if you don't please put me in touch with the seller!

I've had several PM's for quadzillion dollars but they seem to have gone silent. I'm looking for an offer around a megamillion...
