to confirm if Sale Ends will or will not be released you need to contact sales@picturesonwalls.com then, when you get your response, post it here as we want to know too
Otherwise it's pure speculation and nobody really knows. However, the consensus is, they should be released but its a matter of when and where.

Help Please - Sale Ends, by ABC on Aug 29, 2007 12:20:45 GMT 1, As stated with other LA prints, you should buy if you like it, but for investment, Its a risk ? If the POW prints come out then you will get the same Ed run (Apart from Ones from LA and the other from POW) for half of the price and could even gt a signed for Just less, even if they go on the bay they will be around 500-600 for the first few weeks, they always are.

Help Please - Sale Ends, by ohmygosh on Aug 29, 2007 12:31:25 GMT 1, Ive heard rumours from a few people that these wont be released in the UK.
Ive been told certain people have been buying up sets of the US prints for $60k..
Just speculation though but if you look at certain gallery prices out there for the US versions there might be something in this..

gent รacardi on Aug 29, 2007 12:47:58 GMT 1, I don't think they're not gonna release the remaining LA prints. The edition size has been set - 500 each, and they have to honor it by following through. And if they're not gonna be released via POW in the UK, then where? Uganda? I think they're just dragging their feet with the releases because it's a massive headache whenever a Banksy release happens, and procrastination is just such sweet relief.
Anyway, as for Sale Ends, when it gets released by POW, it's definitely gonna be cheaper than this eBay listing, but at the same time, there's a chance that you may miss out due to the wonderfulness that are POW servers and the bunfight. Buy it only if you like the image, don't be concerned about buying just because 'they may not be released in the UK', and you will never go wrong

What and why do they have to honour out of interest? is there a contract or something ?
The rumour is not at all, not Uganda or anywhere else. But then it is only a rumour.
My source is the same person who told me AM will be doing an LA show back in January....
And also they will never go wrong, unless they are a bagger/flipper...

... then a few months later - they'd release them.

Help Please - Sale Ends, by dgb133 on Aug 29, 2007 14:49:02 GMT 1, If I had the time to look things up I could give you several examples of artist editions that never were fully realized. It's happened before that print editions weren't fully printed. So technically it's not like Banksy or POW are legally contracted to release the rest of the prints. Maybe Banksy is getting cold feet after seeing what's going on on ebay and these boards.
But that said I think there is a 90% chance they will be released. But with such a long delay it start's getting aa little weird and I'm sure anyone holding an LA print is going to try and use this speculation to get more money out of their sales.

These theories are pure speculation and although the rumour came from a very credible source I'm sure the prints will get released at some stage, but perhaps not in the manner that we're used to.

Help Please - Sale Ends, by dotdot on Aug 29, 2007 16:46:34 GMT 1, I think you're right - too much heat after the last monster calamity.
Can you imagine opening your small shop - you generally have around 10/20 customers a day... (who knows)...
Then one day open after lunch and there's 18000 folks jammed in the door.
You'd wish that day would never come again - you'd positively do anything to avoid it right ? even if it mean chessing some folks off ...
how they bring the next "batch" out - if they do will be different ...
..
me ? i'm not bothering... ebay is my best bet - last time was a car smash.

Just curious - what was the numbering on the CWS prints like? (e.g., 15/??)

They're numbered out of 82 cos there and always were 82 of them.
Don't know what the hell slowmo's on about... ?

All LA sets were unsigned, apart from the LA printers proofs and A/Ps, they were signed and stamped with a poodle mark If I remember correctly.

Have to disagree with this my friend... I'd be quite happy my business could release a print at any given moment and makes over a million in sales - regardless if it lead to a couple of stressful days!!!
While it's annoying for people anxious for the release, it is a wise business move to prolong it given POW knows they will sell out instantly.

Agreed, and add that to the fact that these could be the last Banksy prints from POW (Who knows) Im sure the delay will do nothing but good for POW PR's when they do actually come up.

While that may be true for any regular business, I suspect that POW has more staying power than that, due to the sheer desirability (and unfortunately, re-sellability, if that's even a word). Methinks that they can even afford to wait another few months, and when they finally make the release, it'll be just as crazy as ever.
Of course, I could be totally wrong. Perhaps they're just taking their own sweet time 'cos they're trying to let the hype die down a little? Quite futile IMO, but I guess it's a possibility.
