Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by burn111 on Feb 25, 2010 19:02:35 GMT 1, I cut and pasted the comment portion of the TIME OUT LONDON website - none of the comments posted were from me or can be attributed to me - I was trying to point out some humor via the web. I personally couldn't care less about CARTAIN and his artistic merit. If you are going to quote me publicly please be accurate - not that any one cares but "Cartains body of work is 100% not my cup of tea - but at least the guy is out there trying to make a career out if - and milking his 15 minutes of fame into a solo show and a lot of internet chatter on here , WK and several other art forums. I bet when Cartain put his head on his pillow each night he isn't say to himself - I wish I could of , or I should of - like many of us do.
sorry wasnt having a dig at you was just pointing out that silky is his uncle and i didnt no that
its not what you no its who you no ;D

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Macdeee on Mar 2, 2010 11:17:32 GMT 1, I dropped by last night. Well done Cartrain for putting on a show and giving it a go. Im sure you are a bit dissapointed with the turnout, as I think there were 8 people in there when I left.... I did my best to eat as many sandwiches as I could.
The photography was actually very nice. The collages are not for me to be honest and I was a little dissapointed to not see any stencil work.

Nice to see some photography, would like to see each of the pieces online somewhere, so I can pass some judgement..

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Cedric Mnich on Mar 2, 2010 21:32:46 GMT 1, Was there no stencil / graffiti art ? Seems it's all about collage (and a photograph ?) Exhibit looks nice. Am I wrong or the pencil box is another one ? I thought the box was orange or yellow, not green.

The original Pharmacy box was White with a Yellow side stripes this box that i have used is only symbolic as I think the Police still have the originals As I was questioned by the Police regarding the alteration to the concept of Pharmacy i now own that concept with includes all the events that lead up to the pencils being retrieved that includes interview tapes bail sheets etc and as i now legally own that concept that's the piece on display

The police Didn't see it that way. I was never questioned over a issue of theft but one of altering the concept of Pharmacy by the removal of pencils valued at Β£500.000 -00 So regardless of how it may be argued. Officially according to the Tate I now own the copyright to the alteration. which is nice
