Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Ruggs on Feb 24, 2010 17:41:01 GMT 1, There are people with a lot less talent who are making it in the art world. Give the guy a break I thought we were suppose to encourage youngsters. If you don't like it don't go and don't buy it - simple as.
Well said! Completely agree.

I beg to differ, though i guess the beauty of art is it's all subjective
For the record i have always admired his tenacity and have posted on here to that effect

You think Anish Kapoor has less talent than Cartrain? Really??? And if Damien Hirst has less talent why do you think Cartrain feels the need to ride his coat tails so much? I try and understand other people's points of view as best I can but I'm really struggling with this one...

I was of the understanding that it was Hirst's legal team that started this by stealing his work through legal trickery. and that Cartrain then repeatedly asked this dubious legal team of Hirst's to comply with their part of a contract they had with him. It was only then that Cartrain in his words 'BORROWED THE PENCILS' NO is spelt know by the way Burnz

I don't think you're meant to start a sentence with and either. Although I was always a bit rubbish at English so not 100% sure.
Also why was Burnz suspended and the great architect wasn't?

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Daniel Silk on Feb 24, 2010 23:57:12 GMT 1, Just been sorting this out with Burnz via PM, and he's gonna stick with the Burn111 account from now onwards.
As I was saying to him, I think the work we have seen to far for this show looks a bit rushed and the pricing dunt look too clever But its still very early days for Cartrain, so every release, show, event, is a learning curve for him.

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by angel41 on Feb 25, 2010 13:28:22 GMT 1, Must say I'm a bit dissapointed in the running commentary of the Hirst saga running throughout this work. Thought there might have been something new on offer.
Did Hirst's mob ever ask for that money for the use of the skull? The reason I ask is I just find it odd that it's being used again here despite what allegedly went on before. Either the Hirst suing never happened or there's been no lesson learned.

I think it might do the Street Art scene some harm in the long run though.
People keep mentioning ''Hirsts mob'' and ''Hirsts People'' they are not, they are DACS, they represent Hirst, Banksy, Nick Walker, Cyclops, Beejoir and so on and so on, they represent all registered artists, and their job is to find people ripping off other peoples work.

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Wearology on Feb 25, 2010 15:35:03 GMT 1, I cut and pasted the comment portion of the TIME OUT LONDON website - none of the comments posted were from me or can be attributed to me - I was trying to point out some humor via the web. I personally couldn't care less about CARTAIN and his artistic merit. If you are going to quote me publicly please be accurate - not that any one cares but "Cartains body of work is 100% not my cup of tea - but at least the guy is out there trying to make a career out if - and milking his 15 minutes of fame into a solo show and a lot of internet chatter on here , WK and several other art forums. I bet when Cartain put his head on his pillow each night he isn't say to himself - I wish I could of , or I should of - like many of us do.
