Spoon, you got number 5/5 of the series right? or did you get a canvas marked 1/1, cos the stories are hard to follow..... You say its number 5, Ali says its a 1/1.
If you got number 5/5 of the same run of canvases, then you got what you paid for, end of. Hand sprayed editions can and will differ, thats the beauty of buying a handsprayed edition rather than a print.
Also, if you agreed to swap a canvas with someone surely you saw pics of the canvas first? if not you agreed to swap it blind, and frankly more fool you.
Ali and Cartrain. As much as i couldnt give a shit, for customer relations in the future i would suggest a) not lying about your connection on a forum where we all have good memories. and b) not posting like this on a public forum. As i say i dont give a shit and wont be buying your work as think its awful (MY OPINION AND I'M ALLOWED MY OWN OPINION ON ANY THREAD), but if I were thinking of buying your work threads like this would put me off.
Anyways, just my 2c for yas, ignore me or dont, i couldnt care less.

That being said, this situation has been handled extremely poorly and will certainly lose Cartrain some potential future business. It seems the buyer patiently waited for weeks/months for the item he purchased only to not receive what was expected. While its best to keep these issues off a public forum, the situation was obviously not being addressed in a manner that was acceptable to your customer and he was just seeking advice on how to best handle it.
Now, Ali.......when you openly(and repeatedly) tell your customer to leave you alone, other potential customers see this. Personally, I dont care for the artists work but if I had, I guarantee you that comments like those would have convinced me to avoid any purchases.
Please do not take this as an attack but as a bit of business advice.
Good luck with your future as a "friend, collector, whatever...."
