There are only three people who know the full story on this thread and even then it is only as they see it.
This whole thing should have probably never been raised as an issue of "Hope that you guys on here can help me with a stupid situation"... because the only people who could ever resolve this are the original poster, the artist and Alistair Khalil and IMO this should have been done privately, how could anyone else help? This thread has done nothing to resolve anything and the only thing it could have ever done is get other people on the original posters side and in the process (possibly) unfairly create ill feeling against the artist and Alistair Khalil (that is if he ever had anything to do with it and to be honest I am not sure if anyone should really care)
One thing in the original post may shed a little clarity on the whole affair, is the second picture down on the original post, what are these as they are not mentioned, could they be little bonus items to make up for any inconvenience?

Ali, I paid for the number 1 of 5 canvas that Cartrain said was mine because of the picture on Cartrains site that you came on here to promote.
You havent been clear with me or this place from the start because you still haven't once said that, or why, I wouldn't be getting the canvas I paid for.The one I paid for by putting money in your bank account.
I didnt want it to turn into a anti/pro Cartrain thing as I actually like Cartrains style and had the perfect place for the canvas to show it off and the tag on the side.
I was over the moon to hear I would be getting extras for buying the canvas but as of now I have the canvas that is number 5 of 5 and looks nothing like the one I thought I was getting.
When the package with extras arrived and I realised there was no yellow canvas, I asked for a refund but was told in a 2 word message NO REFUNDS!
£91 is a lot of money for me.
Im sending the 1 of 1 with the extras to the guy that swapped his yellow canvas for it so no extras and no number 1 of 5 that I paid for and I have to pay to post the package.
See now why I seem crazy and confused?

And on a side note if 91 pounds is alot of money for you to spend on this type of art, you should probably try and buy lower end prints that would be more in your price range. No offense intended here it's just 91 pounds is peanuts in this game and a 1/1 canvas for that is a steal, it's just a fact....Again enjoy it!

But honestly for 91 measly pounds I, and I would think most people in general would be more than happy with the exchange.
Spoon I would say let it go and just enjoy your new art, you have a interesting story to go along with it and the piece is very nice all the same. It's $150 bucks not hardly worth all the fuss when you did get something better in return IMO...

There are lots of mails about what he has been offered etc but he does not and from what I have read have the object that he actually paid for. He has a similar one but number 5 of 5.
If I bought a Banksy canvas and it was number 1 of 1-5. I would be well pissed if number 5 of 5 turned up as would I imagine everyone on this board. (If only we could afford it) Priciple the same though surely!!!!
If he has not recieved yellow 1 of 1-5 he is entitled to a refund. Thats actually the law and it should be honoured.
I would also suggest that unless Cartrain and Ali either provide proof that they have supplied this or agreed to refund they should not have objects for sale promoted through this site as this is the basis many of us trade with artists or galleries.
I live in Hkong so have to buy much of my stuff this way so trust is important.

Spoon seemed to be playing fair and decent until his last email to Kalil...when he then f#cked up.
Hmmm...seems spoon, according to the above at least, has now lost the moral high ground...
...which is a pity because he was on top till then.
Just goes to show eh!!

Problem i can see is that if i was as unhappy as Spoon says he is, I would now rather nail my nadgers to the wall than hang the Cartrain piece, so give the man a refund, get all the pieces sent to him back and move on.
