Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Deleted on Apr 3, 2009 20:27:51 GMT 1, Sorry i know it's off topic, but here's my Google street view of memory lane:
I loved this song and video when i was a kid , or as other members might say " back in the day". I can't believe what i used to try and copy by wearing a studded belt and cuff, with trainers from Kays catalogue with the tongues pulled right out over the bottoms of my jogging pants, then carrying the rolled lino into town,i was always trying to do a windmill and only every managing to do the caterpillar , I'm so glade we never had cameras phone and youtube back then ;D

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Maxie on Apr 24, 2009 14:53:54 GMT 1, IMO i think Cartrain is right to keep on with the Hirst theme, at least this way his work has direction........Im sure we would all milk it for all its worth if we were in his shoes.

I agree an artist needs direction, im actually watching a great vid interview of Vaughn Bode where he talks about an artist needing to have there own style...its well worth a watch, seeing and hearing a legend in action

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by Deleted on Jul 4, 2009 16:38:14 GMT 1, Today at the TATE i thought why not go see the Hirst PHARMACY installation. Having seen this piece some days before, I was alarmed, horrified and somewhat saddened to notice that his box of FABER CASTELL dated 1990 Mongol 482 series which usually sits on the desk has vanished, gone, no longer there. I have managed to find historic evidence of these Mongol 482's at one point being on the desk.
Has the concept of pharmacy altered?

Because of these.
The police state quite clearly that the pencils were Faber Castell Mongol 482 series, and i think they came in a box with the pencil makers association printed in the bottom right hand corner and were wood clinched for Superior point strength but the police haven't said that so I'm only guessing

Having overcome the need for my mother to accompany me to the museum, I now sublimate many of my cravings which cannot be satisfied realistically through wishful thinking by the replacement of intelligent action. ;D
