As you may have noticed, I have not done any work on the Hockney Portrait for a while, been down to a couple of reasons really
1. been working on loads of new work with the style, developing and experimenting with new things.
2. Whilst the layoff I Accidentally come across a new way of colouring or tinting.
because the peice hasnt been sealed or varnished yet, the newprint init as naturally tinted itself with the sunlight in the studio.
I will be leaving it a bit longer before add the detailed paintwork an hilight.
and will be using this natural tinting method on other work in the future.
will keep you updated
