RECORD STORE DAY 2012, by Deleted on Apr 22, 2012 12:05:25 GMT 1, Pretty unlikely now I know...but Ive been trying to get the Flaming Lips album released for record day any ideas? Its a lovely coloured vinyl and cover. Found plenty in the states on ebay but none in the uk and no record stores in Cornwall even knew about record store day!! How much were the 7" speebe or were all the prices varied depending on artist?
All records were priced at £40, 100% of the donation goes to Teenage Cancer Trust.
Pretty unlikely now I know...but Ive been trying to get the Flaming Lips album released for record day any ideas? Its a lovely coloured vinyl and cover. Found plenty in the states on ebay but none in the uk and no record stores in Cornwall even knew about record store day!! Im after this as well. Pretty sure it was an USA only release. The last couple of years, anything that didnt sell out from the US was available over here. So its worth seeing if any the shops in the UK get copies (Piccadily, Rough trade etc) in the next few weeks. If not then its US ebay Im afraid :-(
I did hear that some of teh copies would have vials of the bands blood in!!! Not sure if this is true but something I would imagine Wayne et al would do!!!!

Yeah he's a very affable chaps, taking time to chat to all the gaupers and street art aficionados alike.
It was great to see how he worked... Using the smallest black and white print out of a picture of a wee Hedgehog. He just sketched it all out with a tatty roller on a long pole within minutes.
