How safe is escrow from abroad plz ?, by corisma on Sept 7, 2007 13:22:13 GMT 1, I've heard a few bad things but have a buyer wanting to pay me by Escrow and not too sure about it really

It should be very safe... speak to your bank about it.
We hold all payments in Escrow until the contracts are completed to the satisfaction of both parties, then funds are released

Yeah i realise they hold funds until the buyer is satisfied & then release them to me (and a lot cheaper than paypal)
But leads me to wonder .. Why isn't everybody using it then  ?
No disrespect to the buyer he seems very Genuine & has bought expensive prints in the past but you cannot be too careful these days

you really need to speak to your bank as they will explain how it works and if used correctly will protect both the buyer and seller... the person who pays it can not remove it and you cant remove it either until the transaction is complete and eveeryone is happy but speak to a bank.
