I just can't mentally compute how few of the blue and red ones (which were supposed to be in the auction) have come to market.

Price check red CYW, by Deleted on May 2, 2012 21:27:17 GMT 1, I didn't pay much attention to the green must admit as I entered the lottery for a blue! Couldn't do the overnight queue - would have played havoc with my arthritis.

you wanna know what i think? i'll tell you anyway: the three colours at Berwick St were never meant to be sold over the counter, i have it first hand information that buyers were told to 'drop in' during saturday and take their pick. anyhow, after the complete balls up at POW panic ensued and those 60 prints were sold to people who'd queued overnight - the problem being that now there were a lot of supposedly important people dropping by The Ghetto in Soho to choose a print that was no longer available so what happens? a large number of the RGB colours set aside for the lottery made their way to people POW consider to be good customers.
i'm not saying i agree with what they did but i can totally understand why they did it, there was chaos in the queue and POW had to do something decisive. i guess issuing the QJG edition of 58 meant that around the right number still went to the public (plus the soho editions), the vip's got their gold/silvers and the z-listers were kept sweet.
trebles all round!!

Price check red CYW, by Deleted on May 3, 2012 21:19:49 GMT 1, So essentially then if you entered the online lottery, in good faith, for a red or a blue (which I did) then you had no chance of winning the right to buy - so a total misrepresentation with the QJG as as some kind of moral makeweight?

The qjg were intended to be artist proofs by the sounds of it. They were printed mightily fast to be a new edition release specially dont you think...

i'm putting two and two together and pretty confident they make four - on that basis though i'd add that i'm 100% confident that if what i'm guessing is true then those who entered the RGB lotto would have been added to the grey ed 100 draw, PoW might be a lot of things but arseholes they're not.
