Goal of the year, by Warm Gun on May 3, 2012 19:50:11 GMT 1, I have never seen a goal like Cisse's before, magnificant. He'd look great in a Spurs shirt.

Goal of the year, by My Name is Frank on May 3, 2012 21:11:03 GMT 1, I don't concur with the commentator though, I believe he wanted to bend it into the near post and thought he fluffed it. Look at how he starts to run back into position, away from the supporters he runs to when it goes in. Fluke, so not goal of the season, even though it is impressive.

Goal of the year, by Coach on May 4, 2012 0:17:03 GMT 1, Goal of the year? Easy. This 40 yard screamer from Daren Ambrose shaming Man Utd in our cup victory at Old Trafford. To make it even better, I was there to see it scored. Even gary Neville said it was one of the best goals he had ever seen.

...speculative for sure, but isn't that what in-form, confident strikers do? he definitely meant it, no newcastle players on the other side of the pitch, and he had nothing to gain from hoofing it over the bar and giving away a goal kick when they were trying to protect a lead.
CL or not, what a brilliant season we've had. Been lucky enough to see two of the best goals I've ever seen at SJP this season, this being one of them (17 secs in):

Don't think I explained myself very well, he was looking to curl the ball to go inside the post nearest to him, not the far post, again, look at his reaction after he thought he shanked it, he starts to run back into position and is shocked to see it go in, then starts running back on himself, if he meant it, he would have keep running towards the away fans as it would always be going in as planned, which he didn't, you'll never get him to admit it, but the vid shows everything with the running after he hit it. A great goal, but when it is not intentional, I can't say goal of the season, more look Cisse's funniest home video.

Goal of the year, by ricobenfico on May 4, 2012 22:28:05 GMT 1, Not the greatest video example but can't find a better one, but...
Where I appreciate the technique shown by Crouch and Cisse, my vote goes for Ambrose in the cup game given the situation.

Certainly not a fluke.. He did it twice this season
Anyway he ll never beat THAT goal against charlton few years back..
Rvp,cisse and crouch are the strongest contender IMVHO
