maybe just growing/evolving as a collector. A lot of great stuff out there that I would rather have. TMA NYC is my grail so I will always love the NW and other pieces I cannot afford such as LTS, Empire State, and London would be welcomed on my wall at any time. Just think the images for sale are about a 7/10 whereas I would like 9/10 on the walls if that makes sense (and I don't agree with the whole hoarding in folio's thing, if I buy it it gets framed - less two exceptions which are now sold)

He gave you a decent deal on a Nick Walker piece (clearly you are a big NW fan as is he), and you have turned around saying that you're "growing as a collector" and the piece is not up to your standards and now you're trying to sell it for a decent profit. You are totally entitled to do that...he sold it, you bought it, it's yours to do with as you please...you answer to your own conscience as to whether or not that is a cool thing to do.
Rather than blast you publicly, Kahuna PM'd you to share his disappointment and you turned around and posted his PMs publicly lambasting him (not even sure what he did wrong). Your aggression towards Kahuna seems a bit misdirected. He's definitely one of the good guys.

Appreciate your comments Cardiff. What upsets me is that he sent a missive calling me a flipper and when I told him that I bought it from him, he said 'nope' instead of being up front about it. He called me out for not being honest on the forum and I have no reason to lie about price paid or selling price. In my other hobby, the norm is to put stuff up at about 25%-30% higher than you'd take and see what happens. In addition, the 6 month average has increased since I purchased the piece. I think it was around $859 in July 2011 but cannot be sure and now it is about $1000 with a framed one selling at $1400+. Posted that I was taking offers expecting to deal.
My wife doesn't like the framing on it, got laid off due to budget cuts, and tbh, the frame had a chip in it when he sent it to me, which was not disclosed, and I didn't see any evidence in the bike box that he sent. Gave him the benefit of the doubt when sent it as I am not going to be a dick about it as he did ship it framed.
He sent a $700 offer and I thanked him for the offer and said good luck in your search and then he got upset about it. It's the internet, I am not going to take to much stock in what goes on in a forum but I thought it was in poor taste. Selling at an increase as the average has increased in 10 months could be viewed negatively by some and that's okay. The reality of prints is that they will vary positively and negatively by demand over time. There is a finite and limited quantity and this drives the price. If someone got a Banksy, Invader, or Prefab at a certain price and the price rose, I think it's fair game to ask a bit more and see what happens. Not trying to kick anyone in the teeth with the sale but you should be able to try and sell your wares without having to deal with sour grapes or whatever was in his bonnet. I have sold a Mau Mau Bite is worse...as I wasn't a fan when it arrived and got caught up in my first hobby release. If the purchaser who I believe is in this thread wanted or could get double what he paid me, I would be happy for him, good on ya.
I did include a blanket statement of recouping some framing costs as 2/3 pieces, I framed myself. If he wanted to post a comment saying that it was framed when I got it, that's fine but it's one of three pieces I had for sale. Not an intentional slight on his framing....
