The ones with iron clad provenance in decent shape tend to command $10-20k but admittedly not someting I keep up with and my information could be stale. Still, rather expensive for something you could have a difficult time selling should the need arise. Good luck

Personally, I share the view with others who would not buy something unauthenticated. The short answer is yes I do believe it would be much harder to sell regardless of where you bought it. To be fair, the primary auction houses used to sell these about 15 years ago but they have long since stopped that practice. They do sell but at a fraction of the price of what a similar sized work on paper would command that is authenticated. Certainly a case of buyer beware and this statement says it all:
