Murakami flowers question..., by misterx on Apr 12, 2012 19:37:03 GMT 1, Forgot to take a pic, and its been dropped at the framers yesterday, but my wife noticed amongst the merriment of all the smiling flowers theres one, small insignificant flower that is crying.
Is this a trait in TM's Flower-work?
Do others have a crying flower hidden amongst the meadow of happiness? Told my wife I'd ask the Mob...have now done so!

Murakami flowers question..., by Papa Rocks 64 on Apr 12, 2012 20:25:42 GMT 1, it looks like they are all happy on my print
Not sure on the sad flower but have a question for most of the Murakami buyers on here: do any of you order directly via Kaikai in Japan with a connection/buyer there or all from dealers/second hand?
Anyone at all with experience purchasing directly from Kaikai, either in Japan or US?
Thanks much!

Who did the framing on this? Looks great.
Also, if anyone else can recommend other places-framers that make round frames in the U.S. would be appreciated.

Looks fantastic, well worth the cost. If anyone in the U.S. can recommend a framer they've used that does round frames please let me know.

Thanks much for the info Rsyok, much appreciated!
Anyone else have a solid gallery/dealer then they like for the more current Murakami prints that they find "reasonable" and reputable? Really digging Murakami's Homage to IKB 1957 and would like to locate one of these charmers to bring home and it's fairly current.
Thanks good people!

Call Sims Reed Gallery in London, they have excellent stock, at decent prices. Ask for Lyndsey

Murakami flowers question..., by sanchorockin78 on Apr 13, 2012 10:13:12 GMT 1, I am sure I have noticed sad or crying flowers on a few prints?, Flower2 and one of the Vapour trail editions..seems a definite theme, quite cool actually. Not sure on competitive prices but these 2 are good for reference: www.quancontemporary.co.uk, and giantrobot always has a few

Murakami flowers question..., by johnnyh on Apr 17, 2012 13:33:47 GMT 1, I have a Kensei Gold round one. Think the same or similar with the square ones. They have the flowers with about 6 or 7 different expressions. Smiling, glum, crying, asleep, shock, sort of ohh, a grin. Worth having a look if interested as quite different to the norm when you look close. Not sure my descriptions are spot on but that's how I see them

Murakami flowers question..., by misterx on Apr 18, 2012 7:15:20 GMT 1, Thanks Johnny for your kindness and thanks also for taking the time to fill in some blanks regarding my crying flower. Probably read too much into it, but given their was only one I thought there may have been a storyline to it...seemingly not.
