They certainly don't argue over a few £££'s in places like this. Great print. I know hirst is like marmite for a lot of collectors here, for me his work looks incredible framed.

I have to say that this is quite an uninformed comment to make, I know a few collectors who are extremely important and influential in the contemporary art world and they rarely buy at auction and always seek for the best price possible. |

I agree that they always seek advice on what they are walking into prior but money is not a driver. If they like the work and want it, they will bid. Yes, there are always going to be some limits but they don't have to get abuse in the process.

I know you said you looked at Manifold, but I would advise contacting them, James who runs the company is a lovely guy, and he may well have other Hirsts not on the website at around 5k.
I've bought two spot prints from him in the past, and his ones are small editions and lovely 'woodcut' spots which I think helps make them look very bright and eyecatching.
There are also quite a few in a Phillips Auction coming up on January 21 with estimates around 5k, but no guarantee you would get one for that price of course.
