They are, but then ALL Hirst spot prints and paintings are same same but different.
Get yourself a Currency ( its unique after all ) and for visual effect buy a Beejoir Immodium 20 ( yours for around 400 gbp or so ). Sorted.ย

The โartโ in the currency mostly comes from the different names of the pieces, and then the mechanics of the project.

Original painting for just over ยฃ11/12k at current prices (if you buy the NFT then burn). Currency is a hand painted multiple, not sure on the edition size but im sure it will end over 1,000 and it is also very small.ย Calling it an "original" is very misleading and I would take a woodcut edition over a currency any day.
Of course itโs original. No two are the same (image, title, number). The non-fungibility element goes to the paintings as well as the tokens. If someone offered to swap a woodcut print for another from the same edition, you wouldnโt be so bothered unless you were attached to your /100 edition number or the condition differed. I wouldnโt swap a Currency painting for any other necessarily - could have a different colour pallet, different drippiness, density, texture and of course title. Yes these are slightly artificial distinguishing features in some ways and the paintings are very similar to each other in a general sense, but they are different, unique and original.
