I woudnt rely on that !
I would say its just the number of the print that was basketed whilst others checkedout
The blue edition is just beautiful.

About time too, hardly a runaway success, although not that suprising with the high price tag and her relatively small following. Will be interested to see some of the framing jobs on this one!!

Despite the price tag, I still would of thought this may of sold out a bit quicker. As we all sadly know, popular peices by popular artist`s seem to sell out before we even see a "buy now" button these days, this was kicking around for a few days. Anyway, its good to hear that POW got them out nice and quick, and I will be interested to see how people get them framed up, congrats to those who pulled the trigger.

A fan yes, an expert certainly not (far from it!) I was just voicing my thoughts, which I think is the whole point of a place like this!!!
I do indeed agree that it was a slight change of direction by POW, and I do like the way they operate.

I think the way they operate sucks. Deliberately 'making' people freeze their arses off in winter to fuel the machine of hype....total disgrace. (imo).
Added to this is promoting their brand (and other artists) on the back of a giveaway Banksy release (again) and then pulling it with no explanation.
Any other business treated its customers like this would be shut by now - and rightly so.

With an estimate of €18-22k, the below piece hammered at €39k!!
www.artcurial.com/en/asp/fullCatalogue.asp?salelot=2226+++++258+&refno=10411582
For those interested in her work, one of the finest pieces I have seen by Katrin is being auctioned in France later this month... Finally had a chance to upload this, which is the piece I was talking about and the one in ArtCurial's auction later this month. Stunning:
