Why would POW answer? Like with many other releases they are damned if they do, damned if they dont. So rather than beating up on them why dont you just wait and see what they state the price to be rather than the opinion of others.
Irrespective as has been stated before, this forum is a fraction of the art world and no doubt these prints will sell well.
Kudos to POW for trying something different and for bringing it to the masses. Katrin has never released a print before, so its also something different for the artist. Rather it was POW then some high end elitist gallery, who us mere mortals wouldnt have even got a look in

POW dont have to answer if they dont want to they have the right to do what ever they like but as you can see with all the art thats still for sale on the site says it all - too much crap and not enoff art

Joe have to agree. Fair play to POW for giving this ago because lets be honest when you look at the website there is some serious shit available. Katrin already has a good following in the art world and would have been a huge decision for her to release a print edition. Yes automatically the £ signs are a huge incentive but if the print comes out not reflecting your work as it should it could be detrimental. By keeping the prints at the high price level you keep that exclusivity for an artist.

Anyone who follows the artist will know that she is extremely particular about her work, and no doubt she would be involved in the decision making throughout the process of not just the printing, but also the pricing, so I wouldnt have any worries about how the work will turn out - as I said before, this is where POW will excel.
I believe the print is being shown at the Royal Academy over the weekend, so it will give people the opportunity to see it before deciding whether to pull the trigger or not when it is released.

They are ok, but with patient you can get some fantastic originals for £770. You can get a Jago 1m x 1m for roughly twice the cost of of this print. I just can't see what would keep me looking at it for any length of time. I'd wouldn't swap it for my WCP 'Laugh now'.

IMO a terribly narrow view.
While I don't know how well her work translates to a print, I do think its all about more than some bright colored dribble.

Is the Fridriks print being shown as part of RA Now at the weekend by PoW or someone else?

If you find a painting that's capable of doing that put me down for one too.... ;D

Would love one of these prints, but IF they are £700 upwards (I say if, as I am yet to be convinced POW would sell such an expensive print (and if they do, it would not be their normal model)) then I am sadly out : (
