Oh come on....Chelski proved that football stats mean nowt when they won the CL last month. Sideways possession is silly if you don't penetrate and long range shots from your own half shouldn't count. ......we done very well considering we had an outright winger up front partnering an unproven United substitute with an international debutante who's played about three games for Arsenal and is literally fresh out of nappies on the left wing, two decrepit old codgers in the middle and an aging racist who no one likes at center back. We've got 6 first team starters sitting at home all injured and depressed and our star player is banned for two games. Heck, we've only had our new manager for 6 weeks as well! This was our B team, possibly a C team and definitely the worst English team in two decades but they still gave your A team a damn good game. ;D

I agree with you on that. England used the strategy they were supposed to do if they wanted to win the game (like Chelsea did) & they got a good result in the end!
It's just a pretty game to watch. The result wasn't a steal at all once again! I just meant in the first place that it's not the way England is used to play (not regarding the current roster). I thought I was watching old school catenaccio!
