Simple PA set, by sputnikeye on Jun 8, 2012 18:42:34 GMT 1, This isn't an urban art question. I need technical help and I know there are a lot of clever folks out there who can answer this for me. I've bought a numark double cd player, just for a house party and for playing around with, what I want to know is what PA set with speakers would be best. I want to keep it as simple and cheap as possible, and as easy to set up for a blockhead as poss too? Has anyone any advice for a dull and simple lad? Cannot tell water from champagne and I have never met the queen....
Much thanks in advance

Simple PA set, by iamzero on Jun 8, 2012 20:17:25 GMT 1, I'd look at ebay and the local papers for gigging bands that have packed up or moving on to newer PA's. I sold my bands PA to a bar doing open mic nights for quite cheap as it had paid for itself over the time we had it and just wanted shot of it.
The stuff is much smaller these days too and easier to cart around, I reckon if you buy right and spend some cash you'll sell it easier to pub bands when you're done with it too? Or keep it to annoy the neighbours when they play loud music and you can then bring out the big guns and show them what loud really is.
I keep my Marshall for that these days, never played a gig with that above 3 on the volume as it was so loud. Any guitar and any bass drum.

Simple PA set, by BorntoKiln on Jun 8, 2012 20:31:38 GMT 1, How big is the house, if its a standard size just run standard kit. a decent Technics amp and a pair of rogers db 101´s for example would be sufficient. Or a Bose set up. You don´t need massive kit now days. Just position the speakers properly and your home a dry.
Where´s the party ......... Mods Rule!

Lucky fella. What you got. Never had a Lammy. My first scoot was a 150 super when I was 14, paid 50 quid for it, then a Primavera sport. And I sold a T5 a few years back.
Hope you have a good one sputnikeye!
