Advice on buying a Banksy print from eBay, by tamster on Jun 14, 2012 19:29:22 GMT 1, Hi all I've been an avid reader of this forum for years and have only just registered recently to be able to post for the first time. Sorry if I've posted in the wrong place. I'm thinking of buying my first Banksy print from eBay and have read lots of good advice on here about checking the COA and print itself. Can I authenticate the COA itself? I know that a lot of Banksy prints are POW or Pest control stamped but I've noticed the CYW prints are not. It that correct? I hoping that if I pay via PayPal I would have enough time to check all the above in the 45 days period to open a dispute if it appears to be fake. Thank you

Advice on buying a Banksy print from eBay, by confused2 on Jun 14, 2012 19:42:22 GMT 1, My CYW is not stamped but is numbered and signed.
I would get pics of the print, numbering and signature as well as the COA and send to Pest Control along with the registered users details. They should get back to you fairly quickly to confirm ownership etc.
Good luck, it's a great print!

Advice on buying a Banksy print from eBay, by Deleted on Jun 14, 2012 19:47:09 GMT 1, Firstly welcome to the forum
As for the blind stamp in the CYW your right there isn't one, not sure if they were released earlier than planned because people started to queue in numbers. So never had time to stamp them. Now your a member on here why not post a wanted thread you'll probably find that the ones on eBay are owned by someone on here anyway and you could get a better deal avoiding eBay fees. People can normally give tell you other members they've dealt with to get references. You could still pay with Paypal for protection. Best way to check the coa etc is to email POW direct after asking the seller for their details. Good luck in your search its a great print. cnh

Not another!
£4k ish is a good ballpark figure. Some colour ways are obviously more desirable though.

Advice on buying a Banksy print from eBay, by naughtyshorty on Jun 15, 2012 8:48:34 GMT 1, welcome to the forum!
would agree with the above and think if you follow that you'll get a great print. If you go down the ebay i would be super careful and follow the advice given. Me personally, i find ebay too much of a risk - and when i buy images i love to be able to inspect them closely myself to check their condition. obviously all a bit harder when you buy online.
good luck!
