oh and one other thing one of my friends next-door neighbour's pension scheme has been so badly mismanaged he's screwed for the future - and this by a royal warranted company and all!

Goldie's hardly a street artist, he paints some dodgy Wild Style Graffiti now and again when the cameras are around, and he did a fair bit back in the 80's but you'd hardly call him a street artist.
Happy to see he's not splashed purple and lime green all over her though.
Personally I don't like Goldies art, its like a bad Body Glove advert normally, though I must say I do quite like the Royal Family, they are something that adds a great deal of identity to the UK, Prince Charles, quite like that fucker as well.

Caricatures or not, piss take or tribute - I thought the underlying issue was that this was another artist using the royal family and jumping on the jubilee bandwagon to make a quick buck. It doesn't matter if you slate them or worship them and to be honest I don't care but the strength of some opinions expressed on this thread seemed to be way over the top and have suddenly been muted.
So what your saying now is that the goldie piece would have been acceptable If he had put a pin through her nose or a swatika on her cheek but as a straight portrait he is just milking a current event....
